6. Resilience – Even though normally stable, the flanges need to be slightly to one another by an influence of the cycling pressure and temperature. A gasket is required to be capable of compensation like movements.
7. Temperature resistance – Gasket need to withstand effects of minimum and maximum temperatures within a process and an external atmospheric temperature.
8. Anti-corrosion – Gasket should not cause the corrosion of flange faces.
